The Ilulissat Icefjord (Kangia) is one of the most well-known and popular tourist attractions in Greenland. Fed by the Sermeq Kujalleq Glacier, this 61km long fjord is filled with icebergs of all shapes and sizes and was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2004. Sermeq Kujalleq is the fastest flowing glacier in Greenland, which is only surpassed by the great Antarctic and spits out gigantic icebergs that follow the 60 km fjord out into the bay. This fjord is a photographer’s delight, characterized by endless days illuminated by the Midnight Sun. It is a magical place to experience from both land and water, with photographic opportunities in abundance.
